Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the Oakville Montessori and Daycare website!

To introduce myself, my name is Ayesha and have been a Montessori teacher for over 15 years. I am a Montessori, MACTE, certified teacher with CASA training, that is training that focuses on children from ages of 13 months old to 6 years old. I have a true passion for what I do and love to see the "lightbulb" turn on when children get it. To practice Maria Montessori's philosophy, I decided to open my own Montessori in my home over 13 years ago. I take children starting from the age of 12 months.

What is Montessori?

Many people have questions about Montessori.

"What is it?"
"How was it developed?"
"How is it different from early child hood education or the existing education system?"

Simply, the Montessori system of education was developed by Maria Montessori. Montessori is a method of observing and supporting the natural development of a child. Montessori helps develop creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking through a self directed sensorial approach to learning.
